It seems as if I have read hundreds of articles, white papers, and blog posts all telling me the same thing- Web 2.0 tools are effective and inexpensive in the marketing world, and all companies should be using it to maximize their potential. Okay, I agree. I get the message. I, personally, take it upon myself to do the research to figure out which blogging tool is the best for me, which social networking site is most receptive to my messages, and how exactly I go about creating my own podcasts.
But, the majority of business people don’t have the time to do all the research to figure out which tool to use and how they implement the Web 2.0 strategy. The result?
- The Problem: They put it off, say that they’ll worry about it later because they don’t have time to learn what they need to know to implement it.
- The Solution: Individuals who want to use this technology, but don’t have the time to learn it themselves have a few options:
- search until they find a source that will give them a step by step guide on how to implement the technology,
- hire an individual to teach them how to implement it, or
