I must apologize for not posting more often, as I am not incredibly used to this blogging concept yet! Things have been busy, to say the least. The email marketing course for the eMail Marketing Learning center is currently being wrapped up, its’ look, feel and formatting under way. I’m beginning additional research and preparing for the designing and writing of our second course, “Learning Email Marketing with a List Server.” As mentioned before, this will be a hands on course in which individuals can get familiar with Listrak, an incredible email marketing provider whose tools and services surpass ordinary standards.
In other news…our first roundtable as part of the eMarketing Special Interest Group took place on July 31st, in which several local retailers and marketing professionals met for an Internet Retailing discussion led by industry expert Jeff Parnell, who helped to turn Blair’s e-commerce into a entity making $30 million in its first year. To read more about this discussion, and to learn about any future roundtables or meetings held by the eMarketing SIG, visit the SIG Blog.
I am also very excited about the Erie Ad Club‘s new member luncheon on Thursday, August 16th at 11:30 am. The event will be held at the Erie Club, where Gary Sherwood, AOL’s advertising sales manager, will discuss the interactive space, consumer media trends and the value of online communications with customers. I am extremely excited that the Erie Ad Club is beginning to embrace the interactive side of marketing and advertising! Seating is limited at this event, but it is free! So be sure to RSVP!
On a personal note, I am getting ready to graduate by finishing up my final projects in the remaining courses and preparing for the three hour drive to State College, where my commencement will be held on August 18, 2007. Three years and three months after my first day of college, I’ve graduated with a B.A. in advertising and a very high GPA. Congratulations to me!!
